    Love rpm blast in babolat pure drive and aerodrive but realllllllly bad at retaining tension. I m only a boderline 4.0 player and it doesnt last one 2 hour session. Alu power is good (overrated) but overpriced for wht it is . 17g tourbite is the best of both worlds , holds tension very very good (both on my babolats and wilsons blade and pro staff) , fantastic spin, and i like the feel. Tourbite my choice.

    I've used gut, multi and sin-gut in the mains with a smooth poly cross for the last 15 years. Natural gut mains with a stiff poly cross is my favorite but it's just too expensive. I use TF NRG2 16G mains at 52 bus with Kirschbaum Max Power 17G (125mm) crosses at 48 lbs. I haven't noticed a big drop in spin and this is a lot better for comfort, power and feel. It especially volleys better. This plays very well for the first 8-10 hours and then the poly has stretched and the multi is frayed and notched. I still use it for practice for another 10-12 hours before I restring. I play league matches with a racket with less than 8 hours of play on it. I have my own stringer and can restring when needed. Unless you are a young baseline spin master, I think hybrids are the way to go. I somewhat disagree this setup is less durable because an all poly setup is usually good for about 5-10 hours and I get at least that much of high quality play from my multi/poly hybrids. I've also used mono syn gut mains with poly crosses and it is good too but not the same feel.

    Any advice on upgrading my string setup. I’m currently using a lynx tour/mlt velocity hybrid. Haven’t experimented much. Control is a priority of mine but looking for something with a little more power without sacrificing too much of the control.

    • @TennCom
      @TennCom День тому

      With nylon-hybrids, I personally get better playability with the nylon in the mains. I got more spin, power, control, consistency, basically everything. So you could try Velocity mains/poly crosses to see if that's the same for you, but overall, both Lynx Tour and Velocity are easy recommendations for me when it comes to great strings.

    4: learn some proper technique. Take the racquet back all the way until it shows on the other side of your body. Relax your wrist. No remorse. Rip it until it pops. 5: get some elite footwork. Lean your entire body weight towards the ball, rotate ypur ankles, knees, hip, back and shoulders and off it flies.

    In my opinion all you needed to do was to put on overgrip on them all. that will shift BP down aprox 0.5 cm Then make them all close to equal in swingweight with very little lead/copper at 12. You need not to exceed static weight 314 including overgrip. Iga plays with 295 static and with overgrip 301. Equal playbility can be optained by close approximation. If you want the numbers all be the same you many times end up with too much static weight. I would have done nothing to #1....# 4 ->2 grams in handle to yoke end and 1 gram at 12.....#2 and # 3 1 gram at 12. This would make the racket quite close- feel and playability the same.

  • @benjaminjensen111

    balancepoint. You use the tables edge and a ruler. make sure the table is plane and level.

  • @benjaminjensen111
    @benjaminjensen111 2 дні тому

    the gyroscope in the phone is used to count each swing and the time it takes from one side to the other. the holder is plastic holder, a spring and a ball bearing. The money is in the app. you can go to the house improvement market and make one. you can record the movement and get the swingtime. and you need to do you own math formular.

  • @benjaminjensen111
    @benjaminjensen111 2 дні тому

    How do you know where to place the ruler? to the middle of the markers diameter ? and what about the angle created lifting the racket? Maybe the use of the edge of a table, level and plane, is more accurate.

    M8 is an awesome string. Really comfortable and crisp feeling at low tension (20Kg). The spin is good but not great so I tried a hybrid with Restring 0 and Hyper G on the mains. Both awesome combinations, you get the spin from the shaped string and the control and ball pocketing from M8. I think I will try also game changer on the mains with M8 crosses and then decide the best combo for me.

    CX200 is my favorite racquet in years. I've never been able to find a pro staff RF97 and lately 97 replacement but this is it. i'm aging and keeping my racquet head speed on those has been an issue. the blade and many others (ezone) in 98 and 100 sq in form get close but there's just something diff about the arc of the shot and net play. not here. i will only caution that volleys may be producing some ulnar wrist pain i've never had or it's continental volley feeds so be careful if you play with fed like strokes or dubs and on those reaction volleys. the lighter weight may push slightly more vibration to the wrist and arm than the heavier brethren it tries to play like. The CX400 is also very good but the CX200 is faster through the air. The Tour is great too but why do the extra work when this has that. connected feel and is more forgiving. Spot on this will be remembered as a classic like some older yonex's, some wilson pro staffs and blades and some head prestige racquets. It is near the perfect racquet, with modern characteristics but solid stability.

I also love confidential and from reviews I thought TS and Confi would be similar, but Tour Sniper required to be focused 100% of the points and play with absolutely perfect technique, which at my rec level it is simply not possible. Very demanding string with no feel, any of those slow motion shots were not crossing the net lol I tried M8 as a cross, but I need to do that full bed soon!

Control, spin, flat shots, durability and just enough power to keep it deep are the best I've ever experienced. I've tested m8 and sniper but found it too muted and under powered. But I also improved my footwork a lot in last 6 months so it could reap better experience for me currently.

    Tour M8 is like a hidden gem… no one I play with has even heard of it. It’s the closest thing to a perfect string of anything that I have played with

    based on the footage on how she hits and considering she still plays with the blade 2019 percept 97D- hawk touch + hyper g round (52lbs) cx 200 (+8g 12oclock)/cx400tour - m8/lynx tour/silver 7 tour (48lbs) prostaff 95 - m8/enso pro (50lbs) would be the ones I would let her try

    I personally don't know that it matters other than slight bumps in 1 direction or another.. string type I feel like has more effect than sting tension.. I personally have always felt more controlled with higher tensions... When I was playing competitively I was playing on a Prostaff 6.1 Stretch and kept my stringbed at about 70lbs tension(I know... really high..) but atleast psychologically I felt more controlled and the tighter tension felt like I could Feel the ball better.. I was a bigger player so I felt like I could generate plenty of power just off my body(and the fact that I kept my racket heavy) But the tighter strings also felt like it gave me better touch for drop shots because I was producing the power and not having to worry too much about string movement... I ran a nylon/Kevlar mix for my string bed(Prince Problend) the place I probably noticed the most difference is I could eat through strings at an amazing rate.. lol I had access to my own stringing machine so I was normally putting new strings on my main atleast once a week(I could snap a string in a day of tournament play so I always kept a 2nd racket at the ready with fresh strings) I was by no means an amazing player... I had tourny wins but far from an overall winning record... Modern day I finally got a new racket(after putting that 6.1 through 20+ years) and have upgraded to an RF97 because it has the closest feel to my 6.1 out of all the rackets I demo'd cause I figured 20+ years was long enough for a racket. I now run my tension alittle looser and use softer strings(Currently have TruPro Firewire formerly Tier 1) strung at 60lbs. at 40 I don't have the athleticism to be as serious about tennis anymore like I used to be so I mostly just play non seriously nowadays.... have wanted to get more serious but everyone in my area is playing pickleball nowadays so it's hard to find consistent playing partners.

    They still couldn't beat Pete. Lol. Imagine if he also switched strings and rackets! He was hitting 135 mph serves, ripping forehands and backhands, moved like a cat and volleyed like a ninja... With a 95 in graphite racket on gut. Eventually, Pete got his ass kicked and retired to... A back injury. Better medicine of today would have prolonged his career.

    Are grapplesnake strings really so good that they are the only options or because they are sponsored/affiliated?

      We aren't sponsored, we sell them. In case that wasn't clear when we said it in the film

      @@TennCom I really wonder if they are really good. I am in Australia and hard to find them here. You keep recommending grapplesnake a lot, are they much better than budget strings like solinco or msv?

    • @TennCom
      @TennCom 4 дні тому

      They are very good IMO, but not so good that it would be worth paying mega shipping bucks to bring them to Aus. I think they are worth the premium over Solinco if the shipping costs aren't a big deal because they feel better and last longer IMO, but not like 2x better, so I wouldn't pay 2x the price.
